To support writers and readers through inclusive and creative approaches to writing, publishing and literary development, with a special focus on nurturing Nigeria’s rich literary talent and mother languages.

Literary Advocacy

  • We engage stakeholders across the reading and publishing ecosystem to promote books, reading and library access.

Campaigns and Promotions

  • We promote reading through improving access to books and libraries through our #BringBacktheLibraryCampaign, a national effort to ensure books are available in every neighbourhood. Under the tagline, … you don’t have to own it to read it,’ we encourage authors and publishers to place their books in libraries and connect them to readers. This campaign also promotes book-sharing, community libraries and creative partnerships that make reading more accessible for all.
  • We promote writing in mother languages under our #LiteratureinMotherLanguagesCampaign.We work with linguists, educators and creative writers to develop primers, promote teaching of mother languages in communities and encourage speaking, writing and reading in mother languages.
